Solarmente to receive 50 million from GNE Finance to install 10,000 solar systems in Spain

The Spanish startup Solarmente, specialised in clean technology (Cleantech), has closed a €50 million strategic agreement with GNE Finance. This financing will be carried out through an SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) model and aims to boost solar self-consumption in Spain through the installation of 10,000 solar systems in homes located in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Alicante over the next four years.

This €50 million investment represents the largest amount ever received by a Spanish startup in the energy sector. According to Wouter Draijer, CEO of Solarmente, this deal will allow homeowners to make a real impact in the fight against climate change and benefit from significant savings on their energy bills from day one.

Davide Cannarozzi, founder and CEO of GNE Finance, underlined his company’s mission to support projects like Solarmente, which accelerate the transition to a zero-emission economy and a more sustainable world for future generations. Cannarozzi also expressed his desire for Solarmente to become a leader in the sector in Spain and Europe.
